So what have I been doing at the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009?
Other than nursing a relapse of a pretty bad flu (my voice is simply horrible now), my head is “buried” deep into the Twilight Saga. Yes, after the movie, it’s time to hit the books!
But before I carry on, here’s wishing everyone a fantastic 2009! Enjoy the holidays!!

除了在養病(是的﹐我又得了重感冒﹗)之外
就是忙著埋頭苦讀“暮光之城”(看完電影就到看書啦^^)
不過在繼續聞我的書香前

Over the past weekend, I tried baking cupcakes and cookies with my friends. But it turn out to be pretty unsucessful! Nevertheless, we had a tiring and fun afternoon. ^0^

剛過的週末﹐和朋友嘗試烘蛋糕和餅乾。
不過成品出來後還真有夠糟糕的﹗
反正就是好失敗﹐大家看照片就知道了﹗﹗
呵呵。

基本上﹐聖誕前夕和聖誕節是在大吃大喝中渡過的。

Christmas Eve night, a mini celebration at home with my family. We had chocolate fudge log cake (cheap and good!), ham and sparkling wine.
聖誕前夕晚上與家人來個迷你慶祝會。有巧克力樹桐蛋糕(便宜又好吃﹗)﹐火腿和酒精成份不多的酒。

It was a quiet but wonderful Christmas Day afternoon at home. I had coffee using my new Disney cup and wooden spoon (gift from Tiffany), and had some light snacks while reading an old copy of the Cotton & Paint magazine.
聖誕節下午很寧靜。午茶時間泡了杯咖啡﹐吃了小點心還翻閱了舊的日本雜貨雜誌。好舒服唷﹗

Christmas Day dinner was Popeyes fried chicken with cajun fries and mashed potatoes. Yummy!
聖誕節晚餐是邊吃Popeyes炸雞﹐薯條和馬鈴薯泥﹐邊看“不良校花”。好吃又好笑﹗

How’s everybody’s Christmas holidays? I hope all of you are as happy as me.

These are the christmas lightings from Orchard Road this year. Not as good as before but they still attracted a lot of camera flash lights. So how is everyone’s christmas preparation going on?

Took some time off from work to watch this movie with my buddy, Val. It was pretty good, not only with the actors and actresses, but the sceneries and soundtrack as well. But I believe the novel itself will be even more interesting as there are much more details available. I can’t wait to get hold of my copy through reservation from the library!

趁週末和好友Val去看了這部“暮光之城”。
還算蠻好看的。除了演員之外﹐景色和歌曲/音樂都很出色。值得捧場﹗
看完戲之後更想看原著小說了﹐相信小說會更加精彩。
已經向圖書館預訂了這本書﹐希望能早日拿到手﹗

This Macau trip post had been delayed for months! Finally I had it out!
這篇文拖了將近三個月﹐現在終于出爐了﹗

Macau is actually quite a nice place for relaxing. There is no need to rush here and there. You can just hop on to their public transport to tour around the country.

澳門其實是一個蠻悠閑的地方。
只要跳上小巴﹐就能輕鬆自在的好好逛﹐慢慢逛。很少會有人擠人的情況喲﹗

I finally had a chance to step into a casino. And I must say, it’s really big!
在這次的旅程﹐我也第一次踏進賭場。感覺還蠻像電視劇裡看到的耶。

Also visited the above famous tourist spots.
當然還有以上這些著名的觀光景點﹐我是絕對沒有錯過的。

But the highlight of the trip was that our return flight home was cancelled due to typhoon! My friend and I were informed by the porter that there are no planes taking off due to No.8 typhoon so we just had to stay in the hotel for another night hoping that the following morning, we can fly back home. Luckily, we managed to reach the airport in the early morning and catch the flight home.

I guess it’s really an experience since there’s no typhoon in Singapore. The wind was really strong and I can hear the sound of rain splattering against the hotel window. You will not see that happening in Singapore no matter how strong the wind is or how heavy the rain is. Now I know how it’s like when I hear people talking about typhoon. What an unforgettable trip!

但整個旅程裡最令我難忘的就是因為刮八號台風而回不了家﹗
因為新加坡是沒有台風這回事的﹐所以當朋友和我聽到上不了飛機時﹐我們都愣了好幾秒。
之後就是忙著打長途電話回家和回公司報告一聲﹐還有問一問關於保險索償所需要的文件﹐等。
慶幸的是當時還沒離開酒店﹐不然的話可能就得在機場過夜了。

現在如果聽到有人講起台風﹐我終于知道是怎麼一回事了。
畢竟是身歷其境過嘛。
總的來說﹐這真是個有趣又難忘的澳門之旅﹗

I finished up everything fast so there’s no picture of the donuts!
Personally, I feel that this is better than The Donut Factory.
Plus, their hot mochabella taste really good!! Yummy!!

因為這家店的甜甜圈很好吃﹐所以忘了拍照這回事。
而且他們的熱摩卡也很好喝﹐贊唷﹗﹗
我肯定會再去一次﹗

My friends and I had hot lychee, japanese rice and 8 treasure tea. There is free refill of water for hot tea.
We also tried their bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce (this is good!) and blackberry muffin.
A pretty relaxing place for high tea. Definitely worth a second visit!

在市區裡某個角落的茶座。
和朋友們在那裡品嘗了香香濃濃的荔枝茶﹐日本米茶和八寶茶。
還吃了美味可口的麵包牛油布丁和黑梅鬆糕。
一個喝下午茶的好地方。值得捧場喲﹗
